How it works

Talk through your session.
Walk out with a plan.

No forms between sets, no templates to maintain. Alexandros does the bookkeeping so you can do the lifting.

  1. leg press, 4 sets of 12 at 300, felt easy

    01

Say it however you say it

Shorthand, typos, “the 50s,” “one left in the tank.” It understands how lifters actually talk.

  2. Thursday, October 1

    Leg press — 4 × 12 @ 300 lb

    Easy

    02

    It becomes a clean log

Every set is stored with its weight, reps, and how hard it felt. Tap any line to fix it.

  3. Next time

    310 lb

    4 × 8–12

    Add weight · +10 lb

    03

    It tells you what's next

Top of the range with reps to spare, so the weight goes up by a jump the machine can actually make.

Plan your session

Get the plan.

Walk into the gym, tell Alexandros what today is, and get a session built from your own log. Every lift shows where it left off, so you know exactly why the number is what it is.

Weight, reps, and how hard it felt.

  • 02

Where each lift sits in its range

Add weight, add a rep, or finish the range.

  • 03

    What it knows about you

Your schedule, preferences, and anything to work around.

The progression engine

Know exactly what to lift next time.

Alexandros uses double progression: climb the rep range, then add weight and start climbing again. The range comes from your goal and the lift. How hard each set felt decides the next step.

  • Add weight

Top of your rep range with at least one rep to spare.

  • Add a rep

Anywhere inside the range. Two if it felt very easy.

  • Back off

A ground-out set below the range. About 8% lighter.

  • Deload

Three flat sessions in a row. About 10% lighter, then build back.

Effort, not just numbers

How did that set feel?

The same 8 reps can be a warm-up or a war. Every set gets one of five ratings, or your reps in reserve if you track them. That's what turns a log into a recommendation.

    4+ in reserve

What do you know about me?
  • Injury

Right knee doesn't love deep lunges. Prefers split squats.

  • Schedule

    Trains at 6 a.m., 50 minutes max.

  • Goal

    A 315 squat by spring.

Every number comes from your log.

Weights, reps, and trends in a reply are computed from sets you actually recorded, never guessed. If the data isn't there, Alexandros says so.

Coaching style

Pick the coach you
actually listen to.

Some people want a pat on the back. Some want to be told to stop making excuses. Choose the tone, how much it says, and whether it explains the why. Leave it a note like “call me out if I skip legs.”

Squat 225, got 5, 5, 4, 4, 3. Last set was everything I had.

Balanced · Direct, with credit where it's due

Rough day. Your last sets dropped below 4, so we'll back off to 205 for 5 × 5 on Thursday. You moved 225 well last week; this is a reset, not a step back.

What is Alexandros?

Alexandros is a personal lifting coach. You tell it about your session in plain English, it keeps a clean log of every set, and it tells you exactly what to lift next time based on how each set actually felt.

How do I log a workout?

Describe it the way you'd text a friend, like "leg press, 4 sets of 12 at 300, felt easy" or "db bench 4x10 with the 50s, last set was a grind." Alexandros turns that into structured sets and shows a workout card you can tap to fix any line. You can also enter sets by hand.

How does it decide what I should lift next?

It uses double progression through a rep range set by your goal and the lift. Hit the top of the range with a rep to spare and the weight goes up; land inside the range and you add a rep; grind out a set below the range and it backs off; stall three sessions in a row and it plans a deload. Over time it learns how you respond to increases and tunes the jumps to you.

What if I don't know how hard a set was?

Pick from five ratings: very easy, easy, moderate, hard, or max effort. If you know your reps in reserve, you can give that instead. If you say nothing, Alexandros treats it as a normal working set.

Does it work with dumbbells, machines, and bodyweight exercises?

Yes. It uses realistic jumps for each: 5 lb (2 kg) per hand on dumbbells, 2.5 lb (1.25 kg) plates per side on a barbell, about one pin on machines and cables, and added load or reps for bodyweight work.

Can I change how it talks to me?

Choose tough love, balanced, or encouraging, decide how much it says, and turn the reasoning behind each recommendation on or off. You can also leave it a note, like "call me out if I skip legs."

What does it remember, and can I delete it?

It remembers what matters for your training: injuries, preferences, schedule, and goals. Everything it knows is listed in Settings, where you can edit it or tell it to forget.

Where do the numbers in its replies come from?

Your log. Every weight, rep count, and trend in a reply is computed from sets you actually recorded. If the data isn't there, it says so instead of guessing.
